Mount Forest Fireworks Festival Quilt Show

July 20, 2008

Wow, What a weekend! If you were in the area the had the oppertunity to visit the quilt show in Mount Forest, I am sure that would have been your reaction too. Ok maybe I am a little biased as I belong to this quilters guild, but lots of other people were very pleased with the show. There was over 300 quilts on display, full size, baby, wall hangings, miniatures, landscapes – you name it, it was there.

What could be better then rows and rows of quilts!

The way the curling club was set up, we had the tea room upstairs where you could sit at one of the tables to enjoy your strawberry shortcake while looking out over a sea of quilts. A totally different perspective than on the floor.

I was also fortunate enough to have a booth at the show, which was a lot of fun!  The people came from all over so I handed out a lot of information about my patterns and designs.

Two New Pattern Just Released

July 4, 2008

We have just released two brand new patterns!

They are so new we don’t even have the covers back from the printers yet! But don’t worry they will be here in a day or two.

They are both paper pieced patterns, with detailed instructions on doing paper pieceing in case you haven’t tried it yet.

One of the patterns we call Cowboy Beauty.

A quarter horse portrait with western themed silhouettes in the border.

The other pattern is the first in a series of lighthouses. This one is based on the lighthouse in Goderich, Ontario.

Both patterns are available in our product catalog (
