Lets Celebrate!

September 23, 2008

I spent this past weekend helping one of my dear friends set up and celebrate her wedding. I was a member of the wedding party so was able to help with the organizing and of course, some of the brunt work.

But it was worth it, the wedding was beautiful. The weather cooperated which was good as it was an outdoor wedding and the grounds looked fantastic!

In celebration of her wedding we are having a sale of our paper pieced pooches line.

Why you ask? Well she is a dog groomer and it seemed appropriate! Oh, she also has two horses so we are adding our horse pattern to the sale too.

A trip to Owen Sound

September 17, 2008

This past Monday I was invited to speak at the Bluewater Quilters Guild in Owen Sound. What a fantastic group of ladies! They listened intently to my presentation and even laughed when I said something funny, without me having to hold up my sign that said ‘laugh’ on it. Okay, I didn’t really bring a sign with me, but I considered it!

The presentation I did was a walk through my design process. How I go from the idea to a finished paper pieced design. I chose to make it personal for them by creating the design of a well known place in Owen Sound – the Marine and Rail Museum/ tourist center. It was very well received and I just loved meeting all the ladies!

I stayed after my presentation to watch the show and tell that they had – wow, very talented ladies, I wish I had remembered my camera to share with you some of the fantastic quilts. There was even a little sprout shown off 🙂 You probably had to be there to see it.

Thanks again for having me!

Pug Quilt Pattern

September 3, 2008

Well here it is, the 4th in our series of paper pieced pooches is now available.

We would like to introduce you to our paper pieced pug quilt pattern.

This design finishes to a size of 15 x 14 and would make a wonderful wall hanging or pillow.

We have also finished a wonderful fall design for you. We call it Pumpkin Patch Surprise. In this particular pumpkin patch you will find a kitten peeking out of one of the pumpkins at you. It is an appliqué design and would make a great weekend project.
